How it Works
This is a “pop up” tearoom which means it’s only open by prior arrangement. The tearoom is located in our home – a lovely Victorian house in the Lincolnshire Wolds village of Hagworthingham.
We have two lovely adjoining rooms available, with super views over the garden and a terrace if weather permits. You can either book the entire space for a private afternoon tea party, or you can join in with others on one of my Occasional Tea and Cake afternoons, where you will meet new people and enjoy a delicious and friendly afternoon tea experience.
For private group bookings a minimum number of 4 is required, up to a maximum of 10, and these can take place any day of the week by prior notice – so if you have a particular date in mind please get in touch. I can also accommodate even larger groups (up to a maximum of 18) if you don’t mind being a bit more chumbly. In this case the afternoon tea will be served buffet style, and I will set up a splendid tea table of delights for you to share. Please get in touch for more information.
Private group bookings can be timed to suit you, so if you’d rather have your afternoon tea at lunchtime or any other time, just let me know.
How it Works
The price is £15:00 per person, and you will not have to lift a finger – except a little finger of course! You will receive a welcome drink on arrival whilst you chat to the other guests and make yourselves at home. Then let the afternoon tea commence! A personalised biscuit identifies your place at the table where dainty sandwiches and home made savouries await. Then fluffy scones with home made jam and clotted cream, and an array of sweet treats and sharing cakes will follow. Loose leaf teas from the Brew Tea Co. are served in your own pretty teapot or opt for coffee if you would rather. If it’s a birthday I am happy to mark the occasion with a special cake.
I can also provide a less formal afternoon tea for associations such as local WI, U3A or walking groups. For £10:00 a head you will receive a refreshing cold drink on arrival, followed by a lovely range of sandwiches, savouries, sharing cakes, scones and other dainty sweet treats all served with a choice of loose leaf tea.
I like to use local ingredients where possible, and seasonal too, so the menu will be very varied. Baking is my passion and I like nothing better than sharing this with others. I can guarantee your experience will be delicious and I pride myself on getting the little details right.
I am not licensed to serve alcohol, but for group bookings you are welcome to bring your own bottle of celebratory bubbly and I will provide the glasses.
Please let me know when you book if you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies – I will do my best to accommodate you.
Once you have contacted me and booked, I will send you an email with the address and directions.
Payment is on the day and I don’t take a deposit so please do be sure you can attend.
East Lindsey District Council has awarded my kitchen a five star rating, and I have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
